Howdy doodly, face mask lovers 🙂
Today’s post is all about the amazing Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay.
I love face masks. They are one of my weaknesses. I honestly think you don’t really need loads of face masks if you have this one but where would the fun be in that? This face mask is HARDCORE. I repeat, HARDCORE. It’s not the kind of face mask you use when you want to lounge about in your white terrycloth robe and drink gin and tonics while watching Say Yes to the Dress. Nope. This is the kind of face mask where you wish you were sedated while it did its job.
I was sceptical as to whether I would feel any of the claimed pulsating effect when using it, but boy was I wrong. This mask killed it. It gradually grew tight on my skin and then it pulsated like nobody’s business. It became rock hard on my face and I could barely move my facial muscles. I imagine this must be what it feels like if you were to go overboard with the Botox.
They recommended mixing the clay with raw apple cider vinegar and they’re right. You get a smoother consistency of face mask to apply. Once you mix the apple cider vinegar and clay together, it will start to bubble and foam. It doesn’t smell pleasant but I got used to it. When I first used it I mixed way too much and promptly forced my mom and sister to use some too. Even after that, I still had The Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream pot size amount left so I foolishly thought I could save it for future use. Nah. This stuff is 100% natural and free from preservatives which means only one thing. Mould. So word to the wise: do not attempt to store left over Indian Healing Clay.
Removal is my least favourite part of this process. It is difficult to remove because it dries so hard. I used a thick white face cloth I got from Home Bargains (only 49p) and hot water (not boiling, obviously). It took me a while but once I removed all the Indian Healing Clay my face was a little red.
This doesn’t sound that great so far, does it? I’m trying to build up some anticipation.
This stuff is great! My pores were VISIBLY cleaner. I’m not kidding. I know a lot of us have grubby pores on our noses and the pores nearby. I know I do. This mask cleaned my pores so well. My skin looked so clean! Seriously. My skin, albeit red looked really clean and fresh and it kinda had a shine to it if that makes sense. I was glowing. I’d been pretty bad to my skin by skipping some of my night routine so I knew I needed to do some damage control.
I think for any skincare lover, this face mask should definitely be in your arsenal.
The Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay is worth the hype for several reasons:
It’s all natural
It’s not tested on animals
Bentonite clay is great for absorbing excess oil
It’s great value for money. This mask will last me MONTHS.
It really works.
What are your favourite face masks?
